We give because of the gospel. Our model is Jesus Christ, though he was rich, for our sakes he became poor so that by his poverty we might become rich (2 Cor. 8:9). We are forever changed because of God’s endless generosity towards us. Therefore we pattern our lives after Him, giving generously, trusting His provision, and watching Him multiply our gifts for His kingdom.
