Diving Deeper: Our Values
Christ Centered Identity: How we relate to God
We relate to God as his adopted sons and daughters (Rom. 815-17). We believe a Christ-centered identity takes shape around preaching the gospel to ourselves
continually, that we have been crucified with Christ (Gal. 2:20). We remain prodigals at heart, but the God of all creation gifted us an eternal relationship with him. While it’s easy to find our identity in our families, jobs, or successes, a Christ-centered identity is one in which we rest in his finished work on our behalf. This leads to flourishing in faith, a satisfaction of soul that transcends circumstances, and a meaning in life that suffering can’t take away.

Grace Filled Community: How we relate to others in the church
We relate to one another in the church as brothers and sisters in Christ. We believe a grace-filled community is formed when we give ourselves in good faith to obeying
the “one another” instructions, like “love one another” (John 13:34–35), “seek to do good to one another” (1 Thess. 5:15), and “forgive one another” (Eph. 4:32). A grace-filled community becomes a haven for sinners in need of a good word from God. No one has to have it all-together to belong. Grace frees us from performing for God and each other, but also teaches us to love and seek transformation in Jesus’ likeness.

"As We Go" Mentality: How we relate to others outside of the church
We relate to others outside the church as those Jesus wants to have a relationship with. They are potential disciples who might someday worship Jesus along with us. They are people to be loved. Jesus charged us to make disciples “as we’re going.” He meant the normal places and spaces we inhabit, among people we already know and people we’ll meet. An as-we-go mentality learns to see ourselves as sent by God, with the gospel going before us. God wants to use each of us in reconciling the world to himself (2 Cor. 5:18-19).
