Life Groups specifically support our Competence section of the Discipleship Pathway, where we seek to live out the teachings of Jesus together. What is a Life Group?
A Life Group is a small community of 8-12 people from the church body that meet weekly for about 15+ weeks in the Fall and Spring. Life groups can be mixed (I.e., men, women, singles, and couples) or single-gendered. While you will have theological discussions in group, Life Groups are not primarily a place of theological education. Life Groups are a place for connection with others that challenge us to put into practice the teachings of Jesus.
What happens at Life Group?
Life Groups are primarily a place for implementing what we are learning in convictional settings at the church. The group will follow a guide based on the Sunday's Scripture and message. Additionally, the group will practice a spiritual discipline for the purpose of character formation. There will be ample opportunities to connect, pray for, serve, and have fun with those in the community.
Where and when do Life Groups meet?
Life Groups often meet in homes, the church, or even public locations. It all depends on the group. Groups are located throughout the city. Most groups meet in the evening for about an hour and a half.
How do I get involved with a Life Group?
If you want to get connected with a group, please fill out the form below. We will follow-up quickly to connect further. We often find groups are most fruitful for everyone when there are prior established relationships. We encourage everyone to start attending regularly on Sundays before connecting to a group. We pray this leads to more organic Life Group connections.
